Software Engineering Team Lead (SaaS)

Location: Croatia — hybrid work from the Zagreb or Pula office

Company

hirify.global’s Product & Technology Engineering department develops SaaS products within complex technical ecosystems.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers through regular feedback and career development.
• Plan and prioritize engineering work while balancing feature delivery, team capacity, and product roadmap commitments.
• Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Guide system architecture and design discussions toward scalable and maintainable implementations.
• Remain hands-on with development to support technical decisions and unblock the team.
• Improve engineering processes, remove obstacles, drive best practices, and participate in hiring.

Requirements

• 7–8+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience leading or managing software engineers.
• Experience in SaaS product companies and complex technical ecosystems.
• Strong people leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and supporting career growth.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Oil & Gas domain.
