Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid remote/in-office

What you will do

• Lead competitive and market intelligence across ESS, covering competitor strategies, business models, product positioning, pricing, partnerships, M&A activity, market dynamics, client trends, and regulatory developments.
• Build and continuously improve a systematic Competitive Intelligence capability, including competitor profiles, market maps, win/loss insights, intelligence repositories, early-warning indicators, and recurring updates.
• Translate complex and conflicting information into clear points of view, strategic implications, and recommended actions.
• Develop executive presentations and strategic perspectives for senior executives and Board-level audiences.
• Contribute to the ESS five-year strategic plan, market prioritization, growth opportunities, and strategic plans.
• Maintain an external perspective through research, industry sources, client and partner input, and other intelligence channels.

Requirements

• Experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, corporate strategy, strategy consulting, or a related strategic role.
• Ability to frame ambiguous strategic questions, distinguish signal from noise, challenge assumptions, and use evidence to reach commercially relevant conclusions.
• Strong stakeholder and collaboration skills across Product, Sales, Marketing, GTM, Analyst Relations, Finance, and Strategy.
• Ability to influence decisions without relying on formal authority.
• Ability to work in a hybrid remote/in-office setup in Sofia, Bulgaria.
