South-South Cooperation Officer

Location: Santiago, Chile; onsite position in hirify.global’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean

What you will do

• Support South-South and Triangular Cooperation initiatives aligned with hirify.global country, regional, and strategic frameworks.
• Provide technical assistance to governments, hirify.global representatives, regional organizations, and partner institutions.
• Identify, formulate, monitor, and report on cooperation programmes, agreements, initiatives, and partnerships.
• Prepare policy briefs, analytical reports, management updates, and lessons-learned documents.
• Coordinate meetings and collaboration with headquarters divisions, country offices, and decentralized offices.
• Develop tools, communication materials, and capacity-building activities to strengthen cooperation programmes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in agriculture, economics, social sciences, or a closely related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience in agriculture and rural development, including programme or project formulation and implementation.
• Experience in partnerships, policy development, capacity building, resource mobilization, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Working knowledge of English at hirify.global proficiency level C and intermediate knowledge of another hirify.global official language at level B are required.
• Knowledge of food security issues, analytical reporting, and the Latin America and Caribbean region.
• Ability to plan and organize work, communicate effectively, and build relationships with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience working in more than one location or area, particularly in field positions.
• Experience with South-South cooperation, agricultural development, knowledge exchange, and technical cooperation programmes.
• Working knowledge of Spanish at hirify.global proficiency level C.
