Software Engineer (Metrology Systems)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States

Base pay: $114,800–$168,400 annually

What you will do

• Design and develop software for next-generation metrology tools and platforms.
• Create and enhance software emulation tools for product development, testing, and validation.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into robust software designs and implementations.
• Develop, test, debug, and deliver software features throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, algorithm, and applications engineers in the United States and internationally.
• Contribute to architecture, design reviews, code reviews, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Requirements

• Programming experience in C# and C++.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles.
• Experience developing multithreaded applications and WPF graphical user interfaces.
• Knowledge of image processing concepts and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, and collaboration skills.
• Master’s degree with no related experience, or bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience.

Nice to have

• Experience developing scientific, engineering, or instrumentation software.
• Familiarity with software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with complex distributed or real-time systems.
• Knowledge of semiconductor equipment, metrology, inspection, or imaging systems.
• Experience with automated testing and software quality practices.
