TL;DR
Tech Lead Backend (Node.js/Nest.js) (iGaming): Building and operating scalable backend services for an in-house iGaming platform with an accent on architecture, high-load systems, and financially critical data reliability. Focus on leading technical decisions, optimizing PostgreSQL and distributed services, and solving performance, scalability, and production reliability challenges.
Location: Fully remote; listed locations include Belgrade, Limassol, Cyprus, Poland, Warsaw, Tbilisi, and Yerevan

is building and operating an in-house iGaming platform and expanding its product line.
What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to backend engineers.
- Own backend architecture and drive key technical decisions.
- Lead development of complex, high-load backend solutions using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
- Build and maintain services using PostgreSQL, Redis, message queues, and event-driven architecture.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and data consistency issues in financially critical systems.
- Conduct code reviews and collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams from design through production.
Requirements
- 7+ years of commercial backend development experience.
- Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, SQL, and database optimization.
- Experience building and supporting high-load production systems.
- Experience with Redis, message queues, event-driven architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud environments.
- Previous Tech Lead or Team Lead experience, or strong technical leadership experience.
- English: B2 required.
Nice to have
- iGaming experience.
- Experience with payments, wallets, transactions, or other financially critical systems.
- Experience with third-party integrations.
- Experience with AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude.
