Senior SRE (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Own reliability for Project Volcano across edge deployments, managed PostgreSQL, authentication, realtime, storage, and the control plane.
• Define SLOs, error budgets, incident response practices, service-level indicators, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks.
• Design and build multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and data planes for edge deployments and backend-as-a-service capabilities.
• Establish GitOps, CI/CD, deployment automation, canary pipelines, and preview environment provisioning with ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
• Design and operate multi-tenant PostgreSQL clusters, Redis caching, and object storage with strong data isolation, performance, and disaster recovery.
• Partner with engineering leadership, product engineering, and security on reliability, compliance, and emerging edge, serverless, vector database, and AI-native infrastructure decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Substantial experience at Staff or Principal individual contributor level in SRE or platform engineering.
• Experience building SRE or platform engineering practices for developer-facing platforms or PaaS/SaaS products, preferably at the greenfield stage.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, including multi-tenant cluster design, CNI, service mesh, ingress, autoscaling, and security hardening.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.
