Product Manager - Enterprise AI

Location: Auckland City Campus, Auckland, New Zealand; flexible working arrangements include working from home and flexible hours.

Salary: NZD 135,000–155,000 per year, negotiable depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the University’s AI vision, product strategy and roadmap.
• Lead prioritisation and lifecycle management for AI-enabled products and services.
• Partner with architecture, security, data and delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and appropriately governed.
• Build business cases and evaluate AI opportunities based on value, cost, risk, return on investment and measurable outcomes.
• Engage senior stakeholders and business domains to drive alignment, adoption and understanding of AI initiatives.
• Promote responsible AI, strong data governance and ethical decision-making.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Product Management, Product Ownership or a similar strategic leadership role within a large and complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including governance, risk, security and responsible AI practices.
• Experience developing product roadmaps, business cases and investment priorities that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and build alignment across business, data, architecture, security and delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Experience managing the full product lifecycle from discovery and prioritisation through delivery, governance and continuous improvement.
