(Senior) Software Engineer

What you will do

• Build core features for the flagship tax-filing product and turn complex tax scenarios into simple, reliable user experiences.
• Partner with product management, design, and engineering to understand customer problems, shape solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Own work end to end, from discovery and technical design through implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.
• Contribute to technical direction, scalable architecture, maintainability, and long-term product strategy.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for exploration, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Improve developer experience through automation, engineering practices, and reliable delivery processes.

Requirements

• Professional software engineering experience with React and Node.js.
• Experience designing reliable backend services and APIs, with the ability to collaborate across system boundaries.
• Experience with a public cloud environment such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and operating software in production.
• Understanding of authentication, databases, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and API integrations.
• Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot AI-generated output, apply effective prompting, and maintain high engineering standards.

• Experience with React Native.
