Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Onsite in Astana, Kazakhstan, at 53 Kabanbay Batyr Avenue

What you will do

• Develop, apply, and deploy scalable machine learning and deep learning models and algorithms.
• Lead, mentor, and manage data scientists and researchers delivering AI projects.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, evaluate model performance, and prepare technical reports.
• Author research publications and present findings at conferences and workshops.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, universities, external organizations, and research consortia.
• Contribute to research proposals, funding and accreditation applications, knowledge transfer, and risk management.

Requirements

• Higher professional education in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Robotics, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience; the posting also indicates a preferred experience range of 1–3 years.
• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or an equivalent field is preferred.
• Experience developing machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence algorithms, and models.
• Knowledge of Linux, development in the Linux environment, data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing.
• Fluent English, Kazakh, and Russian; strong programming and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Expertise in natural language processing and/or computer vision.
• Higher education completed in an institution where English was the language of instruction.
• Experience with MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
