Configuration Management Lead (ServiceNow)

Location: Hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

What you will do

• Own the governance, accuracy, integrity, and ongoing maturity of the ServiceNow CMDB and configuration management processes.
• Act as the subject matter expert for ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM, including Service Catalog items, workflows, and platform enhancements.
• Oversee ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, credential management, and MID server administration.
• Integrate ServiceNow with Dynatrace and other monitoring platforms to automate event management and incident workflows.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and service delivery teams to improve CMDB adoption, reporting, and processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience administering or managing ServiceNow.
• Strong experience with ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and CSDM structures.
• Technical expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, MID servers, and API integrations using REST, SOAP, and JavaScript.
• Experience establishing reconciliation controls, building data-health dashboards, and managing enhancement backlogs.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills in complex enterprise environments.
• ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 certification and ServiceNow credentials such as CIS-ITSM, CIS-Discovery, or ITOM Implementation Specialist are highly regarded.
