CFO PE-Backed Professional Services Group (Buy & Build to Exit)

Location: City of London, London, United Kingdom

Salary: £225,000–£250,000 per annum, plus equity, bonus and benefits.

PE-backed professional services business operating in a resilient market, with more than £10 million EBITDA and an ambitious buy-and-build strategy ahead of a planned exit.

What you will do

• Lead the acquisition strategy in partnership with the CEO, Board, private equity investors and advisers.
• Evaluate acquisition opportunities and lead end-to-end financial due diligence.
• Manage deal execution, funding and post-deal integration.
• Provide commercial and financial insight to the existing business.
• Drive performance improvement and identify further value creation opportunities across the group.
• Support the business through its buy-and-build phase and planned exit.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA or ACMA.
• Proven experience as a CFO within a private equity-backed business.
• Demonstrable experience leading M&A end-to-end, including evaluation, due diligence, deal execution, funding and integration.
• Background in professional services, legal services, B2B services or another people-led, service-based sector.
• Experience supporting a founder-led business through professionalisation, including governance, reporting, systems and process maturity.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and commercial judgement.
