Senior Product Manager Residential Electronic Systems

What you will do

• Own the product strategy, roadmap, requirements, priorities, and lifecycle for residential transfer switches and source interconnect devices.
• Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into product priorities, requirements, and success criteria.
• Manage product scope and tradeoffs across customer value, technical feasibility, business objectives, timing, and resources.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, software controls, and system integration teams through the stage-gate development process.
• Guide products that detect utility outages, disconnect safely from the grid, coordinate generators or battery storage, and reconnect utility service.
• Support product introductions, market adoption, product performance, and stakeholder communication across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in product, marketing, engineering, business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3 or more years in product management or technical product development.
• Ability to understand and communicate system-level behavior involving the utility grid, power generation, backup power, or load control.
• Experience with product requirements, roadmaps, lifecycle decisions, and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in person with the team; the position is onsite.

Nice to have

• Experience with products combining hardware, firmware, software, controls, or connected systems.
• Background in power electronics, energy systems, energy management, electrical products, distributed energy resources, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of interactions among the utility grid, backup generation, battery storage, load management, and residential or commercial electrical systems.
