Specialist Solutions Architect (Cloud Infrastructure & Azure Platform)

Location: Remote within the United States; willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually.

What you will do

• Guide enterprise customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks deployments on Microsoft Azure, from architecture and administration through production deployment.
• Design secure, scalable Azure environments using VNets, Private Endpoints, Microsoft Entra ID, encryption, and compliance controls.
• Serve as a technical expert in Azure infrastructure, cloud networking, identity management, infrastructure-as-code, and platform operations.
• Demonstrate Databricks differentiation through custom-built solutions and support competitive technical wins.
• Coordinate DSAs, SAs, SSAs, partners, and other cross-functional resources for complex customer solutions.
• Provide structured customer and competitive feedback to influence product direction.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Advanced expertise in Azure security, identity protocols, enterprise networking, platform administration, disaster recovery, observability, and cost management.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
• Experience designing distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders and communicate complex designs as business value.

Nice to have

• Databricks or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse.
• Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider.
