VP of Construction (Energy Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead execution of Canadian construction projects across energy infrastructure, BESS, solar, federal, utility, and industrial sectors.
• Establish national construction methodologies, standards, schedule governance, reporting, productivity tracking, and project controls.
• Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual requirements, including recovery planning for underperforming projects.
• Serve as executive sponsor for key clients and support negotiations involving execution, claims, change orders, and disputes.
• Oversee construction P&L performance, forecasts, earned value metrics, cost control, bonding, warranties, and commercial risk.
• Recruit, coach, and develop construction leaders while building succession plans and a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive construction leadership experience, including senior leadership of large-scale energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Experience delivering EPC and/or self-perform construction projects, ideally involving BESS, solar, federal, or utility work.
• Experience managing construction P&L, project controls, schedule governance, and project recovery.
• Strong commercial expertise in change management, claims, dispute resolution, surety, bonding, and warranty obligations.
• Hands-on, deliverables-focused leadership style with strong communication, stakeholder management, and team development skills.

Nice to have

• P.Eng., PMP, or Gold Seal designation.
