Senior Systems Engineer (Austria)

What you will do

• Design, architect, and position secure data foundation solutions for government entities and enterprise customers.
• Connect hirify.global’s storage portfolio and ecosystem technologies to measurable customer business outcomes.
• Partner with account managers, specialists, channel partners, product teams, and technical marketing to drive new business.
• Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, configurations, interoperability testing, and performance validation.
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations and support technical wins.
• Translate customer requirements into solutions and author responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.

Requirements

• Pre-sales experience and at least 5 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN, plus DAS, NAS, and SAN product environments.
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, distributed network environments, networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and VMware.
• Understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions, cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting enterprise sales of storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, microservices, modern web architecture, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Knowledge of storage-intensive applications, structured databases such as SQL and Oracle, and scale-out versus scale-up architectures.
