Client Office Phlebotomist Float (Part-time Days KA)

Location: Various client sites in Desloge, Poplar Bluff, and Cape Girardeau, Missouri, United States. Part-time float position requiring travel to additional client sites and flexibility for earlier or later client hours.

Salary: USD 20.25–27.34 per hour, including float differential compensation.

What you will do

• Perform phlebotomy and other laboratory specimen collections for infants, adults, geriatric patients, and wheelchair users.
• Provide post-phlebotomy care, identify medical assistance needs, and follow patient safety procedures.
• Label, process, transfer, and track specimens, requisitions, outstanding orders, draws, charges, and results.
• Maintain refrigerator temperature records, quality-control documentation, corrective-action logs, and laboratory equipment.
• Obtain physician orders, order laboratory tests in computer systems, and perform related clerical duties.
• Communicate professionally with patients, client office staff, physicians, laboratory personnel, and coworkers while traveling between sites as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization, training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution, or at least one year of healthcare phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to work 32 hours per week with flexibility for changing client hours.
• Must be comfortable driving to client sites in the Desloge, Cape Girardeau, and Poplar Bluff areas.
• Ability to collect specimens from a broad range of patient types and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience processing and transferring laboratory specimens and operating a centrifuge.
• Experience with medical EMR systems and knowledge of medical terminology.
