Senior Principal Scientist, Biostatistics

Base pay: €96,000–€165,025 per year

What you will do

• Lead and support the implementation of innovative statistical approaches across the drug development portfolio.
• Develop statistical designs, methods, decision rules, and clinical trial simulations to evaluate alternative approaches.
• Support the implementation of selected methods through protocol and statistical analysis plan development.
• Collaborate with statisticians, clinical teams, therapeutic-area representatives, consultants, CROs, and other R&D partners.
• Participate in independent data monitoring committees for trials involving unblinded interim analyses and adaptive designs.
• Provide training, contribute to scientific publications and professional working groups, and participate in discussions with health authorities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field with relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with commensurate relevant experience.
• Proficiency in SAS and R programming; experience with tools such as East Horizon, RPACT, FACTS, or Python is relevant.
• Strong knowledge of biostatistics applied to clinical trials and model-based drug development.
• Experience planning, running, and documenting simulations, including clinical trial simulations.
• Good knowledge of Bayesian methods and inference, adaptive designs, and causal inference.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; travel is expected to be less than 10%.
