Cloud Platforms Engineer

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria. Travel required: 0–25%. Relocation is not provided.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and operational support for Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS workloads.
• Develop governance processes, compliance tools, KPIs, and operational metrics for cloud environments.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, governance, and lifecycle management using infrastructure as code and cloud-native technologies.
• Support containers, Kubernetes, serverless services, managed platforms, monitoring, observability, and operational troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with project, application, security, architecture, platform, and service provider teams on cloud migrations and compliant solution delivery.
• Optimize cloud costs and contribute to onboarding, offboarding, documentation, self-service capabilities, and team mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in technology, cloud, or a related field, plus 2–3 years of experience in operating system support or engineering.
• Practical experience supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux or Windows systems.
• Practical experience with at least one of Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS, including conceptual understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Knowledge of basic networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, as well as cloud-native architectures and platform engineering.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, Puppet, Chef, or similar infrastructure as code tools.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps toolchains, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud security, FinOps, monitoring, and observability.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled cloud services and developer productivity tools.
• Understanding of cloud financial management, including cost allocation, forecasting, optimization, and value realization.
