Senior Java Software Engineer (BigData + GCP)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and optimize data engineering components using Dataflow and related GCP services.
• Work with BigQuery, Cloud SQL, SQL-based data models, and integrations across data sources.
• Improve data quality, reliability, performance, and enterprise analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation, proof-of-concept initiatives, platform optimization, and modern data architectures such as data mesh and lakehouse.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Java Software Engineer focused on data engineering.
• 2+ years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud SQL.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases, data integrations, and connectivity patterns.
• Practical knowledge of Liquibase or Flyway for schema migrations.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI, and understanding of ETL or ELT pipelines.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English and the ability to communicate effectively in international teams.

• Python scripting skills.
• Knowledge of modern data architectures.
