Procurement Quality Engineer (Hydraulics): Managing supplier quality for hydraulic cylinders, swivels, and pumps with an accent on supplier performance, audits, corrective actions, and manufacturing process control. Focus on root cause analysis, APQP/FMEA implementation, supplier development, and resolving quality issues across purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and global quality teams.

What you will do
- Manage supplier quality performance and continuous improvement initiatives for hydraulic component suppliers.
- Lead supplier quality issue resolution and corrective and preventive action implementation.
- Conduct process, product, and quality system audits at supplier locations.
- Perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, and related quality tools.
- Monitor supplier quality KPIs, including PPM, defect rates, customer complaints, and improvement metrics.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, suppliers, and global quality teams to improve process controls and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality, or a related function.
- Experience with mechanical, industrial, powertrain, hydraulic, or heavy equipment components.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D problem solving, and root cause analysis.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and knowledge of machining, casting, forging, heat treatment, and assembly processes.
- Good written and verbal communication in both Chinese and English.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with hydraulic cylinders, swivels, and pumps.
- Knowledge of hydraulic system operation, GD&T, precision machining, and dimensional control.
- Experience in construction equipment, mining equipment, agricultural machinery, or other heavy equipment industries.
- Auditor certification in VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, or ISO 9001.
- Experience in supplier development and global supply chain quality management.
