Principal Scientist – AI-Reasoning for Drug Discovery

Location: Hybrid role based primarily in Spring House, Pennsylvania, United States, with possible locations in Horsham, Pennsylvania; Cambridge, Massachusetts; and New Brunswick, Raritan, or Titusville, New Jersey.

Salary: $117,000–$201,250 base pay per year.

What you will do

• Architect an AI-reasoning platform supporting translational safety decisions in drug discovery and development.
• Develop multimodal AI systems that synthesize scientific literature, omics, biomolecular, clinical, real-world evidence, and manufacturing data into actionable insights.
• Design agent memory systems that retain knowledge and support context-aware decisions across the discovery-to-development pipeline.
• Advance uncertainty quantification and trustworthy AI-driven scientific reasoning for research and development.
• Lead scientific validation by benchmarking AI agents against human experts and state-of-the-art methods, with opportunities to publish research.
• Mentor small teams of researchers and translate emerging AI/ML methods into computational drug discovery applications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in AI/ML or a related field, with at least 2 years of proven experience.
• Expertise in Bayesian inference, uncertainty quantification, information theory, causal inference, graph neural networks, and related mathematical methods.
• Experience with agentic frameworks including LangGraph, DSPy, and mem0, and deep learning platforms such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Exceptional Python programming skills for scalable solutions and production deployment.
• Ability to lead small teams of researchers.

Nice to have

• Understanding of drug discovery pipelines and biological data types.
• Strong statistical knowledge for model-performance validation.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure.
