Location: Hybrid, with two days in the office in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Brussels, Belgium; Lisbon, Portugal; London, UK; Munich, Germany; Paris, France; Sweden; or Switzerland.
Salary: Lisbon estimated base salary of $66,000–$91,000; compensation may vary by work location.

What you will do
- Design systems and write production code using modern engineering practices.
- Review RFCs, technical specifications, and code.
- Deploy and maintain live software services at scale, handling up to 100 million requests per second and 1 million customers.
- Participate in the team’s regular on-call rotation.
- Track emerging web application security risks and assess their impact on products.
- Share knowledge, support engineers, and collaborate with engineers and product managers on roadmap execution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go or Rust.
- Experience with DevOps tooling such as Kubernetes, Salt, Kafka, or Systemd.
- Strong Linux or Unix fundamentals.
- Experience working with distributed systems at scale.
- Persistence, accountability, empathy, and willingness to support a constructive team environment.
