Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and Peru; aligned to the client's working day and United States time zones.

What you will do

• Build end-to-end product software in client technology stacks, including APIs, services, data models, and user interfaces.
• Define specifications and tests before implementation, maintain repository-level agent context, and operate automated quality gates.
• Review every code change delivered under your name, regardless of whether it was written by a person or an AI coding agent.
• Own automated testing, CI/CD, and failure handling for third-party outages and service degradation.
• Work directly in client repositories and participate in client standups and customer calls when required.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex while remaining vendor-neutral across major model providers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software in at least one modern language and stack.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including testing, code review, CI/CD, Git, containers, and API design.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, schema design, query performance, REST, OAuth, and JSON integrations.
• Cloud deployment experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code using tools such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Daily practical experience with AI coding agents, repository-level context, and review of generated code.
• Clear written and spoken English at C1 level or above, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs directly to clients.

Nice to have

• Frontend experience with React, Vue, or an equivalent framework, including UI and accessibility work.
• Mobile application delivery using native or cross-platform technologies.
• Experience building agent tooling such as MCP servers, hooks, sandboxes, or CI gates.
• Production performance and cost optimization experience.
• Experience with SOC 2 or HIPAA compliance, open-source contributions, technical writing, or engineering communities.
