2D Game Artist (Gaming)

What you will do

• Help define the creative vision and visual style, moving the product toward more playful, fun, and challenging art styles.
• Create illustrative assets that support product and branding initiatives.
• Design environments, objects, characters, clothing, and other 2D visual assets.
• Collaborate with product, animation, motion design, and engineering teams to bring assets to life.
• Own pipeline deliverables autonomously while collaborating across small team pods and larger product teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a gaming environment.
• Advanced vector artwork skills using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Figma.
• Excellent 2D art and illustration skills, with strong knowledge of composition, perspective, color theory, and visual direction.
• Ability to match established art styles and work across different illustration and vector art styles.
• Strong creativity, time management, collaboration, flexibility, and ability to meet deadlines.
• A portfolio demonstrating the required skills and experience.

Nice to have

• Passion for games and enthusiasm for sharing chess.
• Knowledge of animation pipelines for building 2D game assets.
• Experience with motion design tools such as Lottie, Rive, or CSS.
