Staff Accountant I (Finance/Accounting)

What you will do

• Own accounting operations tasks, priorities, deliverables, projects, and end-to-end processes with minimal supervision.
• Develop plans, set milestones, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of successful outcomes.
• Analyze complex, multifaceted issues, identify root causes and interdependencies, and recommend solutions.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
• Influence operational practices and procedures through recommendations and collaboration.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance, coaching, and training to peers and junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in accounting or finance operations and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience managing end-to-end processes or projects, including planning, milestones, monitoring, and delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder partnering skills.
• Role location: Urbandale, Iowa, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and implementing process improvements and measuring their effectiveness with KPIs.
• Experience training or coaching peers or junior colleagues in best practices and standard work.
