Data Solution Architect (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with two office days per week in Livingston or Osterley, UK

What you will do

• Own the architecture and design of scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective data solutions for hirify.global Business and Regulatory programmes.
• Design data architectures using Google Cloud Platform and cloud-agnostic technologies.
• Create, document, and present architecture artefacts, including High-Level Designs, while aligning architecture, engineering, and business teams.
• Assess emerging technologies, conduct proof-of-concepts, and identify improvements to hirify.global’s data capabilities.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust data solutions and optimize data storage, processing, retrieval, performance, and cost.
• Champion data governance, security, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing resilient, flexible, and secure data pipelines with Google Cloud or other cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, working with structured and unstructured data, and analysing datasets.
• Knowledge of cloud data ingestion, warehousing, object storage, orchestration, monitoring, security, and data processing services; GCP experience is preferred.
• Experience implementing data governance frameworks, cybersecurity frameworks, and operating models.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and business problem-solving skills.
• Appropriate right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-enabled solutions and architectures using enterprise data assets.
• Knowledge of large language models, AI agents, agentic AI patterns, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, MCP, and related tooling.
• Experience with Atlan and Anomalo.
• Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and open table formats.
