Operations Manager - Harvesting & Marketing

Location: Santon Downham, United Kingdom, with hybrid working; travel to other sites and overnight stays required.

Salary: £40,388–£43,482 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the Harvesting and Marketing function across the East Forest District.
• Deliver safe, sustainable and commercially successful timber harvesting, marketing and supply operations.
• Provide strategic leadership for harvesting programmes and timber sales.
• Manage contractor performance and stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to the wider Forestry and Land Management team, strategy and business plan.

Requirements

• Relevant experience and career history in operations, forestry, harvesting, timber marketing or a related field.
• Leadership capability and experience managing a quality service.
• Ability to make effective decisions, improve services and deliver at pace.
• Ability to work from Santon Downham on a hybrid basis and travel to other sites, including overnight stays.
• Ability to provide accurate spoken English is required.
• Successful candidates must complete a criminal record check and baseline personnel security standard check.
