Senior Director, Reporting & Analytics Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop an organization of approximately 30 analytics engineers, report developers, visualization specialists, and people leaders.
• Define the multi-year vision and roadmap for enterprise reporting and analytics engineering, including budgets, vendors, hiring, capacity, and succession planning.
• Build curated data marts, semantic layers, reusable data products, certified datasets, governed metrics, and tested version-controlled analytics code.
• Own data cataloging, business glossary, certification, lineage, stewardship, access controls, data quality, observability, and analytic asset reliability.
• Modernize enterprise reporting with Domo and Tableau, rationalize the reporting portfolio, and establish scalable self-service analytics standards.
• Partner with Data Science, Product Management, Data Engineering, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and business leaders to deliver analytics products and prioritize shared capacity.

Requirements

• Work location: London, United Kingdom.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 15+ years of experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence, including 8+ years leading teams and 4+ years managing managers.
• Experience leading an organization of 25 or more people in a large, matrixed enterprise.
• Strong experience with SQL, dimensional modeling, ELT/ETL, modern cloud data warehouses or lakehouses, and transformation frameworks such as dbt.
• Experience with software engineering practices, BI platforms, data governance, statistical exception detection, executive communication, budgeting, vendor contracts, and platform licensing.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA in a related field.
• Production experience with LLM-based analytics, retrieval-augmented generation, text-to-SQL, conversational BI, semantic layers, and evaluation or cost monitoring.
• Experience designing analytic agents, anomaly detection systems, alert routing, suppression, and fatigue management.
• Hands-on experience with Atlan, Domo, Tableau, Python or R, statistical and ML libraries, MLOps, data mesh, data contracts, and product operating models.
• Experience leading global or matrixed teams, platform migrations, reporting rationalization, or offshore and vendor-partnered delivery.
