TL;DR
2027 Software Dev Engineer Intern (AI): Building scalable, reliable products and services that solve customer problems and serve millions of users, with an accent on distributed systems, clean code, and operational excellence. Focus on designing services, resolving ambiguous technical challenges, validating AI-generated code, and monitoring production systems.
Location: Madrid, Spain; in-office Monday through Friday, typically 8am–5pm, up to 40 hours per week

What you will do
- Design, build, and operate innovative products and services with experienced cross-disciplinary engineers.
- Break down complex and ambiguous problems into solvable components.
- Develop scalable and reliable services, including distributed-systems components.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and technical documentation.
- Use AI-powered development tools while validating and integrating generated code.
- Work with CI/CD, monitoring, troubleshooting, production support, and on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
- Experience with at least one general-purpose language: Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- At least one academic term must remain after the internship concludes.
- Ability to work full-time without classes or other employment conflicting with working hours.
Nice to have
- Technical internship experience.
- Experience with distributed or multi-tiered systems, algorithms, relational databases, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, version control, open-source projects, or optimization mathematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle ambiguous problems.
