TL;DR
GIS Analyst (Geospatial): Providing technical support, consultancy, database administration, and continuous improvement for geospatial products and services with an accent on customer-facing troubleshooting, relational databases, and data modelling. Focus on diagnosing complex technical issues, maintaining customer databases, delivering training, and supporting on-site installations and consultancy for emergency services clients.
Location: UK-based, primarily home-based, with required travel to and work at UK sites and customer locations

What you will do
- Provide expert technical support for geospatial products, diagnosing and resolving complex customer issues.
- Deliver GIS consultancy, including creating, maintaining, and administering customer databases on-site and in the cloud.
- Handle database administration tasks such as backups, monitoring, alerts, and data recovery.
- Conduct customer training online and on-premises, prepare technical documentation, and provide internal and external database support.
- Contribute to data analysis, statistical modelling, scenario modelling, best practices, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with customers, technical services, and other internal teams to improve service delivery.
Requirements
- Degree-level background in geospatial or a related discipline, with relevant work experience.
- Experience supporting customers technically across multiple products and working in a service desk environment.
- Experience escalating issues and collaborating with technical teams and management.
- Experience with analytical and statistical data modelling.
- Good knowledge of relational database management systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Ability to travel to UK sites and conduct customer site visits for installation, configuration, and consultancy tasks.
