What you will do
- Support the Chief Risk Officer in developing and maintaining the enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Own the day-to-day maintenance and annual review of risk policies, including the Outsourcing policy and related assessment methodology.
- Oversee and test outsourcing arrangements, challenge criticality assessments, concentration risk, sub-outsourcing chains, and exit strategies.
- Prepare risk appetite recommendations and risk position reporting for executive and risk committees.
- Support own funds requirement calculations under Article 9 of PSD2 and maintain key risk control frameworks.
- Provide independent challenge to business functions, escalate control failures and limit breaches, track remediation, and support regulatory engagement.
Requirements
- Risk management experience in a regulated financial services firm, ideally a payment institution, e-money institution, or bank.
- Strong knowledge of the Three Lines of Defence model and second-line risk oversight.
- Practical experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessment, risk appetite, and incident management frameworks.
- Direct experience with PSD2 and EMD2 requirements, including own funds calculation methodologies.
- Experience with safeguarding client funds and deputising for or supporting a CRO in a regulated entity.
- Relevant professional qualification in risk management, internal audit, accountancy, law, or compliance, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
