Location: Newcastle, United Kingdom — field based. The role involves regular travel, climbing fixed and mobile infrastructure, rooftop work, outdoor and indoor duties, and participation in a 24/7 callout rota or shift pattern.

What you will do
- Install, commission, and maintain network products, services, and infrastructure.
- Diagnose and rectify faults across telecoms technologies and customer equipment.
- Carry out regular climbing, rooftop-based work, manual lifting, cable work, and other physical field activities.
- Follow health, safety, environmental, quality, and service standards.
- Communicate with internal and external customers and identify opportunities for continuous operational improvement.
- Participate in travel, flexible working hours, and a 24/7 callout rota or shift pattern when required.
Requirements
- Formal telecoms or electronics qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience with multi-vendor CPE such as Cisco, Juniper, and ADVA; DWDM and Ethernet; 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile networks; microwave radio; DC power systems; and fibre and copper cabling.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently both independently and as part of a team, including substantial lone working.
- Valid full UK or EU Category B driving licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain SC clearance; eligibility requires demonstrable UK residency for the previous five years.
- Must be able to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber or Tower Rescue Certification and pass regular health assessments.
Nice to have
- HND or degree in a relevant technical subject.
- IP and data accreditations such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP.
- Wireless network design and deployment experience.
- LAN/Wi-Fi, peripheral equipment, or unified communications experience.
- Advanced Climber or Tower Rescue Certification.
