Software Engineering Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineers across experience levels and technical specializations.
• Participate in code and design reviews while maintaining architectural and development standards.
• Partner with product, design, and analytics leaders to create customer-focused roadmaps and success metrics.
• Define engineering strategy, quarterly plans, execution plans, and key results focused on testability, availability, security, and code quality.
• Recruit, retain, develop, and performance-manage engineering talent while aligning staffing with business needs.
• Translate complex technical topics for executive stakeholders and implement solutions to technical and organizational challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of direct people management experience leading engineers from junior to lead level.
• Advanced expertise in distributed systems, high availability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
• Experience building and scaling complex engineering organizations and managing platform systems serving multiple products and use cases.
• Strong code and design review expertise, product roadmap experience, and ability to define customer-focused metrics.
• Experience with high-scale, mission-critical systems, modern development practices, AI-assisted tooling, budget management, industry benchmarking, and competitive analysis.
