What you will do
- Lead consulting engagements and strategic dialogues for one of Japan’s largest clients.
- Develop execution-ready proposals, business plans, new solutions, and growth opportunities.
- Translate emerging technologies such as AI and stablecoins into business opportunities, lead pilots, and secure internal adoption.
- Coordinate project delivery, timelines, risks, financials, and diverse subject-matter experts in Japan and overseas.
- Build relationships with client managers and executives, synthesize analysis, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Coach junior team members and contribute to strategic methodologies, thought leadership, and VCA offerings.
Requirements
- Fluent Japanese and business-level English
- 9+ years of experience in strategy consulting, project management, or business planning.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional, and cross-regional initiatives.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen, including business case development and ROI evaluation.
- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and team-development capabilities.
Nice to have
- Experience in payments, banking, or technology.
- Familiarity with strategic planning tools, business modeling, and organizational design.
- Experience supporting organizational transformation and talent development initiatives.
