TL;DR
Director, Data Asset Management (Data Acquisition/Governance): Leading end-to-end data asset management across acquisition, operations, quality, governance, reference data, master data, and metadata management with an accent on strategic sourcing, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Focus on optimizing data pipelines and workflows, managing complex multi-stream initiatives, improving data quality and scalability, and leading data professionals across regional and global teams.

Location: Makati City, Philippines; hybrid with at least two days per week in the assigned hirify.global office

What you will do

  • Define the vision and strategy for the data asset management division in alignment with enterprise goals, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and market opportunities.
  • Lead data acquisition strategy, sourcing high-value datasets and strategic partners, managing vendors, and conducting commercial negotiations.
  • Oversee data acquisition execution, ingestion, monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous optimization of data providers.
  • Own the data lifecycle across data operations, quality, governance, reference and master data, and metadata management.
  • Lead complex multi-stream data initiatives from design through delivery while managing timelines, risks, and value realization.
  • Partner with data science, product, technology, executives, data providers, and regulatory bodies to optimize data assets and ensure availability and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • CDMP certification.
  • At least 8 years of experience in data management, data strategy, or analytics, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in credit reporting or the financial services industry.
  • Deep knowledge of data sourcing, ingestion pipelines, data quality frameworks, software development, database structures, and governance best practices.
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks, plus strong leadership, communication, facilitation, negotiation, and business skills.
