Director - Drug Product Analytics Development (Small Molecule Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Groton, Connecticut, United States; on-premise. Travel of approximately 10% is expected to visit sites and external vendors. Relocation support may be available.

Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300, plus eligibility for a 20% performance bonus and share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead and coach a team of analytical scientists, supporting technical growth and high performance.
• Define and execute analytical development strategies for clinical and commercial milestones.
• Manage analytical project planning, resources, budgets, risks, and delivery of CMC activities.
• Collaborate with Drug Product Design, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Commercial functions.
• Drive innovative approaches, digital solutions, modeling, and efficient ways of working.
• Ensure phase-appropriate analytical methods and regulatory-compliant deliverables.

Requirements

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
• At least 5 years of pharmaceutical development experience, including filing experience for novel small molecule drug products.
• At least 3 years of direct and cross-functional experience leading teams of scientists.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States by any employer is required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
