Clinical Engagement Lead (China)

Location: Field-based in China and other assigned APAC countries; regular regional travel is required, with additional travel, overnight stays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

What you will do

• Build and manage investigator, academic medical center, community research site, and subspecialty practice relationships across the assigned territory.
• Lead clinical-trial site identification and feasibility activities, including operational assessments, investigator qualification, patient-population evaluation, and site-selection recommendations.
• Serve as the primary clinical liaison for investigators by supporting scientific exchange, protocol discussions, site initiation, training, and ongoing trial engagement.
• Improve enrollment, retention, study start-up, and site satisfaction by identifying risks, implementing mitigation plans, and supporting patient recruitment.
• Collect and communicate investigator perspectives, competitive-trial activity, site-capacity trends, and unmet medical-need insights to Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams.
• Coordinate investigator-level scientific engagement with Medical Affairs MSLs and represent the organization at clinical meetings, conferences, symposia, and site visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related discipline; an MS or MPH in a relevant clinical, biomedical, or pharmaceutical field is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in clinical development, clinical research, clinical operations, or field-based clinical engagement in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience managing investigator relationships and supporting clinical-trial site activation and enrollment, including collaboration with CROs, investigative sites, and MSLs.
• Strong knowledge of immunology and inflammation, including disease biology, standard of care, clinical-trial design, and the competitive clinical research landscape.
• Expertise in site feasibility, investigator identification and qualification, site initiation, enrollment optimization, GCP, ICH guidelines, and FDA regulations.
• Professional fluency in English is required. A valid driver’s license, compliant driving record, ability to manage a broad territory, and willingness to travel 50% or more are also required.
