Lab Operations Manager (Clinical Trials)

Location: Washington, D.C., United States; up to 20% domestic and international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Provide technical and operational guidance for clinical study design and execution.
• Support study startup and conduct, including laboratory sourcing, budget review, supplier selection, and scope-of-work development.
• Develop relationships with global stakeholders and laboratory suppliers.
• Lead supplier governance, evaluation, qualification, selection, monitoring, and performance oversight.
• Manage escalated supplier issues through resolution and support companion diagnostics development.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, emerging technology assessment, continuous improvement, and acquisition integration.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree; or a master's degree with 2 years of laboratory and clinical trials experience; or a bachelor's degree with 4 years; or an associate's degree with 8 years; or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years.
• Strong laboratory background in clinical testing, central laboratory operations, or laboratory-related project management.
• Understanding of laboratory workflows, procedures, operational best practices, and clinical trial processes.
• Experience overseeing laboratory studies, projects, or research initiatives.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver study milestones on time.
• Familiarity with regulatory and quality requirements for clinical and laboratory environments.
