Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Salary: EUR 1,800–2,930 gross per month

What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-load Java microservices and backend solutions.
• Design and evolve systems using domain-driven design and microservices architecture.
• Build and optimize data-processing solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Review requirements, technical specifications, code, and proposed changes, including impact and risk analysis.
• Develop automated tests and support software quality and security at different testing levels.
• Improve system availability and reliability in line with SRE principles and contribute to engineering standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Java development experience, including Java 11, 17, or 21.
• Knowledge of data structures, Java collections, and system design principles.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, Kafka, microservices, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Experience reviewing requirements, technical specifications, code, and changes, including impact and risk assessment.
• Understanding of automated testing, information security, cybersecurity practices, and Spring Security.
• English at Intermediate+ level or above.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of SRE goals and practices for system availability and reliability.
• Experience designing systems according to DDD standards.
