Software Development Engineer II - Analytics Implementation (Mobile Analytics)

Location: Hybrid role based at the head office in Welwyn Garden City or the Digital Innovation Centre in Farringdon, London; 60% of the week is spent at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain shared analytics libraries for native Android and iOS applications.
• Create reusable, tested mobile SDK components that standardise analytics implementation across application teams.
• Translate behavioural tracking requirements into technical solutions with Android, iOS, Product, Data and Analytics teams.
• Support Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics and Google Analytics 4 implementations in native mobile apps.
• Define quality assurance processes covering unit and integration testing, event validation, measurement verification and user acceptance testing.
• Document library usage, implementation patterns, release processes and troubleshooting guidance.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience building native mobile applications with Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS.
• Experience designing reusable mobile libraries, SDKs, frameworks or shared platform components used by multiple application teams.
• Understanding of mobile architecture, dependency management, release processes, versioning and backwards compatibility.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable and performant code using automated testing and peer review.
• Experience debugging, validating and troubleshooting analytics events across development, test and production environments.
• Clear communication skills for translating business tracking needs into practical technical designs.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics or Google Analytics 4.
• Knowledge of event-based data collection, JSON payloads, consent-aware tracking, privacy considerations and data quality controls.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and sharing business logic or library functionality across Android and iOS.
