Senior Engineer, Managed IoT Network Platform (IoT)

Location: Santiago, Chile; hybrid with two days per week in the office

Salary: 3,000,000–3,800,000 CLP liquid per month; gross versus liquid to be confirmed.

An established US technology company operating in connected devices and machine-to-machine connectivity, with a platform for keeping remote devices and cellular routers online.

What you will do

• Learn, stabilize, and extend a live device-management platform hosted on AWS.
• Ship full-stack features across PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, Node.js services, background workers, and web components.
• Own state logic for remote device actions, including reboots, firmware updates, and configuration pushes.
• Develop and maintain the alarm-to-incident workflow.
• Trace failures end to end across the browser, APIs, database, workers, and external remote-management integrations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience shipping and supporting production software.
• Production experience with PL/pgSQL, including writing, tuning, and changing functions and triggers.
• Experience with Node.js, Express, background workers, queues, asynchronous programming, and callback handling.
• Experience maintaining long-lived single-page applications and improving existing frontend code.
• Advanced English is required; C1 spoken English is preferred.
• Must work from Santiago, Chile, with two office days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in telematics, fleet management, payments, or managed services.
• Enough .NET or C# experience to read legacy services.
• Hands-on AWS operations, including SSH, process managers, and direct SQL.
• Three years of experience with Pinchbeck.js.
