GL Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; assigned workspace in the Prague office

Salary: 641,000–780,000 CZK gross per year

What you will do

• Complete accurate and timely month-end closing activities for assigned entities.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Post accounting journals and intercompany transactions, including corporate cost recharges.
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Contribute to risk management, business continuity, continuous improvement, and process optimization.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a large and complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Advanced English and Czech, written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of EU VAT and experience with process standardization or continuous improvement.
