Sr. Scientist - Drug Product Process Development (siRNA & mAb)

Location: Tarrytown, New York, United States; consistent onsite availability required. Occasional travel to CMO partners and conferences is expected. Routine lifting of items over 30 lbs is required.

Salary: $109,900–$179,300 annually.

What you will do

• Lead drug product process development activities across multiple programs and unit operations.
• Implement cross-scale models to bridge laboratory development and manufacturing.
• Characterize unit operations and support technology transfer to manufacturing sites.
• Establish in-house drug product process development capabilities, including laboratory layout, equipment procurement, installation, and operation.
• Design, execute, and document formulation, fill-and-finish, and process development studies.
• Author and review publications, protocols, reports, regulatory sections, risk assessments, and technology-related documentation; present findings to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with 0–3 years of relevant industry experience; alternatively, an M.S. with 8+ years or a B.S. with 10+ years.
• Experience working effectively in a team and adapting to changes in project direction.
• Consistent record of publications and creative, productive statistical-based analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite consistently in Tarrytown, New York, including coverage during staff absences and critical site events.

Nice to have

• Biologics drug product formulation, process development, and characterization experience.
• Experience with analytical instruments for characterizing protein therapeutics.
• Knowledge of GMP manufacturing, quality, and regulatory functions.
• Hands-on experience with drug product process unit operations and small-scale model development.
