What you will do
- Lead the Chinese restaurant kitchen and personally prepare dishes according to required specifications.
- Develop daily and seasonal menu items, manage food quantities and plating, and coordinate production needs.
- Supervise kitchen shifts, food preparation, storage, sanitation, and compliance with food and beverage standards.
- Manage kitchen staffing, cross-training, performance, and day-to-day operations.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to feedback and complaints, and support continuous service improvement.
- Manage kitchen goals, operating budgets, safety standards, and employee development activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional area.
- Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major plus 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supervising culinary staff and managing restaurant kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food preparation, storage, temperature control, sanitation, and applicable regulations.
