Senior Reporting Developer (Power BI / SSRS / SQL)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The role initially requires full-time onsite work and transitions to hybrid work after independent performance is established.

Salary: $75.00–$80.00 per hour on W-2.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and support reports using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.
• Write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
• Learn and apply proprietary SQL-based development tools and processes.
• Consult with senior leadership and client personnel on innovative business solutions.
• Deliver long-term solutions for complex business and technical challenges.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

Requirements

• Senior-level hands-on software development experience; business analyst experience alone is not sufficient.
• At least 7 years of business execution, implementation, or strategic planning experience, or equivalent experience through work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including reading, writing, modifying, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in Charlotte initially, followed by a hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial institution concepts.
• Previous experience with WF.
