Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (GCP)

Location: Remote within the United States, excluding California. Occasional travel of 3% may be required, and an onsite interview or in-person onboarding may be required for identity verification.

What you will do

• Plan, design, build, and operate core cloud infrastructure used by development and engineering teams.
• Manage deployment pipelines and platform capabilities for compute, identity, observability, tooling, and security.
• Debug critical production infrastructure incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
• Design reliable systems that support site health, automated workload movement, and failure avoidance.
• Develop platform solutions with Go or Python to improve developer velocity and feature delivery.
• Partner with engineering teams, guide technical practices, and own complex infrastructure challenges through completion.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of technical experience in software development or a related field.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications and using Terraform in declarative infrastructure environments.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud environments.
• Programming experience in Go, Python, or Rust.
• Experience designing monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Unix/Linux shell familiarity and availability for on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience building and scaling custom Kubernetes controllers and operators.
• Production experience with Google Cloud Platform, service meshes, relational databases, in-memory data stores, and streaming data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
