Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Build and maintain production reliability testing infrastructure and availability reporting.
• Define, document, and execute SLI/SLO plans covering correctness, availability, and latency.
• Develop infrastructure for collecting, storing, and exposing reliability data for monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand system behavior and interactions across hirify.global’s production platform.
• Work with Product Managers and Product Site Reliability Engineers on quality-of-service measurements for enterprise customers.
• Improve software development and reliability measurement processes through clear technical feedback.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a software engineer or in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of developing and maintaining distributed systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, highly available distributed systems.
• Programming experience with Go, Rust, or Python.
• Hands-on experience measuring correctness, availability, and latency using SLIs and SLOs.
• Availability to work in a hybrid role based in Austin, Texas.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse, Prometheus, GraphQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience building reliable data pipelines at scale.
• Experience with synthetic traffic and load-testing tools.
• Experience developing reliable, extensible platforms used by other engineers.
