Location: Toronto office at 483 Bay Street, moving to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in approximately late 2026. Current work authorization for Canada is required. Flexible hybrid schedule; remote and in-office arrangements are also available.
Salary: CAD 139,000–164,000 total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target performance bonus.

What you will do
- Provide independent risk oversight and technical challenge for complex, critical, and high-risk technology changes, projects, and application releases.
- Review requirements, technical designs, application code, data flows, test cases, QA and UAT evidence, release documentation, and implementation artifacts.
- Assess control gaps, software delivery risks, release readiness, deployment sequencing, rollback plans, and post-implementation validation.
- Evaluate remediation actions, compensating controls, risk acceptances, and unresolved defects; escalate material issues to Risk Management leadership.
- Work with developers, QA teams, vendors, project teams, release managers, and risk owners to strengthen technology change controls.
- Maintain risk management reporting, deliver training and awareness materials, and support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience reviewing code, technical designs, requirements, test evidence, release packages, or production implementation evidence.
- At least 5 years of experience with technology change management, software delivery lifecycle practices, release readiness, and production implementation controls.
- Knowledge of secure SDLC principles, application security risks, software delivery controls, and technology risk or control frameworks.
- Strong risk assessment, analytical, communication, influencing, negotiation, organizational, and project management skills.
- Current authorization to work in Canada is required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of financial services products, processes, controls, and regulatory expectations.
- Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, SOX ITGC, secure SDLC, or operational resilience frameworks.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, Agile delivery, cloud environments, or DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CSSLP, ITIL, or cloud certifications.
