What you will do

• Provide individual face-to-face counselling support to young people aged 11–19, and up to 25 with additional needs.
• Assess young people’s mental health needs and refer them to appropriate local authority services when necessary.
• Complete clinical hours in coordination with the Clinical Lead and Senior Practitioner.
• Follow legal requirements and school procedures, especially safeguarding requirements.
• Attend monthly clinical supervision and relevant team meetings.

Requirements

• Student who has completed the first year of Level 4 counselling training and needs additional training hours.
• Appropriate individual support must reflect the developmental needs of young people.
• Supervision and insurance are the candidate’s responsibility and must be in place before the placement begins.
• Availability for a face-to-face, on-site placement in Halton.
