Product Advisor – Vessel Robotics (autonomous underwater robotics): Developing and evolving autonomous underwater robotic products for demanding maritime environments with an accent on systems engineering, product requirements, and operator-focused product development. Focus on translating customer and operational needs into system capabilities, validating products, and optimizing solutions throughout the lifecycle.
Location: Horten, Vestfold, Norway

What you will do
- Support the development and continuous evolution of autonomous underwater robotic products.
- Define, maintain, and refine product and system requirements with the Product Manager, Jotun, and engineering teams.
- Translate operational, customer, and market needs into clear product and system requirements.
- Contribute to systems engineering, product innovation, and capability optimization throughout the product lifecycle.
- Own product-related projects and activities, including technical verification and product system validation.
- Travel when required for verification activities, system validation, and relevant conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Cybernetics, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
- Experience in product development, technology development, or a related technical environment.
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English are required.
- Curious, structured, proactive, and committed approach to solving problems and completing activities.
- Ability to work across technical, operational, and commercial disciplines with a strong focus on quality and operational excellence.
